In 2020, Jane completed her Masters in Fine Art at Teesside University following a degree in Glass and Ceramics at the National Glass centre in Sunderland. She has produced a popular homeware range of slip cast ceramic fruit/vegetables as well as quirky sculptures.
Her processes involve a mixture of hand-building and slipcasting and she makes her own moulds before firing and then experimenting with crystal glazes to produce interesting patterns on the clay.
She aims to bring beautiful handcrafted art into people’s homes. Her portfolio also includes large scale acrylic paintings and print-work, interpreting emotions and feelings conveyed and captured in a moment in time, to create vibrant and abstract landscapes which are bold and expressionistic.
Bright, vivid colours are a recurring theme in her work bringing positivity and joy aiming to make you smile and reflect. She strives to be as eco friendly as possible re-cycling all clay and using recycled packaging and boxes.
